Clay Care
Polymerclay is durable and slightly bendable. This means it needs some TLC (tender love & care) when handeling and storing. Earrings have gone through design, baking, sanding, drilling, and polishing to make your piece wearable!
Care Instructions
- Use a soft cloth to wipe gold-filled components
- If you get make-up on your earrings, you can use a damp soft cloth to wipe. In case that isn't enough, you can use a q-tip or cotton ball/pad along with a little bit of rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover (with acetone) to remove stubborn stains.
Recommendations
- Don't shower, swim, sleep, or exercise with your jewelry. This will prolong the life of your earrings.
- Keep chemicals, lotions, hairspray, or oily substances away from your earrings. I would suggest applying lotion, hairspray, hair products, perfume and make-up before your jewelry.
- Store your earrings in a dry and cool place. This will also prolong the life of the clay and gold-filled components.
- Polymer clay has a soft surface, which means it can scratch if stored with other hard metals.
- Polymer clay is a bit flexible but avoid bending, stretching, or dropping your earrings.
